The Company: ColourFaux
ColourFaux has been in the business of creating stunning faux finishes and decorative wall art for over a decade. Using a huge array of specialty finishing techniques, virtually any paintable surface can be transformed into faux stone, marble, leather, metals, brick and any number of custom fantasy finishes created especially for you!

In addition to walls and ceilings, we also do floors, furniture, fabric, faux stained glass and etched glass, tile and hand-painted canvases such as floor cloths, trompe' l'oeil windows, smaller scale murals and hand-painted canvas cut-outs (perfect for the ever-changing tastes of children) because they can be temporarily adhered to the wall and then removed and relocated as kids outgrow them. Plus, the canvas art can be custom designed to go with your room theme, and shipped directly to you with complete installation instructions.

The real specialty of ColourFaux is the hand-painted artistry: murals, trompe' l'oeil, hand-painted borders and embellishments, custom crinkle paper finishes and most recently, Old World European texture finishes and polished plasters.

About Us: Deb and Dave
Debra Vack-Hynson is the creator of ColourFaux. Her custom paint finishes and artistic painting styles are incredibly diverse. Though mostly self-taught, Deb has recently received training in European texture and Old World finishes from Interior Images Master Faux Finishing school. Deb can do incredibly realistic "trompe' l'oeil", folkart, primitive, impressionistic and whimsical styles with much ease. Deb feels her personal specialties are faux marble and stone, beautiful "poofy clouds" and painting children's rooms and furniture. To quote Deb, "There is so much creative potential in creating colorful, whimsical rooms for kids, plus, they are my most enthusiastic clients."

Deb has had her artistry showcased in 13 designer showcase homes and model homes in the central Pennsylvania area in the past decade.

You may see a sampling of Deb's work at "Interiors" on Columbia Avenue in Lancaster where she has 2 fauxed walls and a mural of the Amalfi coast. Located at Carlson Construction's Model Home in Hampden Summit in Mechanicsburg (intersection of Highway 581 and Creek View Road) is a polished plaster in a bath, along with a sampling of faux stained glass and artwork in the master bath. Deb can also be contacted at (717) 259-7793 or at info@deb-art.com

David, (husband) plays a key role in the success of ColourFaux. His expertise in wall repair, painting, and numerous other related skills means ColourFaux can offer the client more than just paint finishes. David also takes care of the more technical aspects of the faux finish process and also does finishes with Deb.
